Automobilia - Hood Ornaments, Radiators Caps & Emblems

Most collectors are struck with the beauty of Hood Ornaments, Radiators Caps & Radiators Emblems on classic cars. In many cases they are genuine works of art. Hood Ornaments and Radiators Caps were usually mascots or figurines. Probably the most interesting items to all colectors of Automobilia are the Radiator Emblems used to identfy the automobile make and model.

Hood Ornaments, Radiators Caps & Radiator Emblems

The earliest American Automobiles made lavish use of brass scripted name plates on the Radiator. Then almost all manufacturers made use of the ornate Moto-Meter in the early 1920s. In 1928 a more ornate mascots and figurines started to appear on American Automobiles. It was in the early 1930s that the finest radiators caps and emblems were made. In the 1940s and 1950s lavish Hood Ornaments were seen on American Automobiles.
